Verified businesses

Verification & Claims

Show customers your business is real and accurate — and take ownership of a listing that's already in the directory.

How Verification Works

A Verified badge tells customers we've confirmed the business exists and that its details are accurate. It's a trust signal — and it's free; it isn't tied to a paid plan.

1

Submit your details

Send us proof the business is registered and that you're authorised to represent it.

2

We review

Our team checks the documents against the listing — usually within a couple of business days.

3

Badge goes live

Once confirmed, the Verified badge appears on your public profile.

What we accept

Certificate of registration / incorporation
National ID of a director / authorised signatory
Valid trading licence
Director passport (where applicable)

Why get verified?

Verified listings earn more trust and clicks. The badge shows on your profile and in search, and it reassures customers the contact details are current.

Verification is granted on the strength of your documents — not on which plan you're on.

Claim Your Listing

Your business may already be in the directory — many East African businesses were added from public records so customers could find them. If that's you, claim it to take control of the details, respond to enquiries, and get verified.

1. Find your business

Search the directory for your business name and open its profile.

2. Request the claim

Tell us it's yours and share the same registration documents used for verification.

3. Take ownership

Once confirmed, the listing moves to your account — edit it, add photos, and manage enquiries.

Can't find your business? Add it as a new listing instead.

Verify or claim your business

Send us your details and we'll get you verified — and hand over any listing that's already yours.
